Apprenticeships at LAMBDA: A Career with the AGR Group

Are you about to graduate from high school or have you already graduated? Are you interested in environmental and climate protection and want to do your part to shape our future?
With an apprenticeship at LAMBDA, you can take action—for your future and that of our society.

What sets LAMBDA apart is, above all, the individual skills of our employees. Qualifications and teamwork are just as important as a sense of responsibility, creativity, and organizational skills.
During your apprenticeship at LAMBDA, you’ll continue to develop these skills every day and learn to apply them in practice.

In addition to a diverse training program, we offer an attractive work environment that challenges and supports you.

Teamwork beats theory

Sure, vocational school is a must, but an apprenticeship at the AGR Group, of which LAMBDA is a part, is more than just theory. Our apprentices are part of the team from the very beginning. As such, we involve you in concrete tasks and let you take on responsibility—initiative is expressly encouraged!

To optimally support your personal development, training managers and mentors are always at your side with empathy and a wealth of experience.

How to apply

LAMBDA hires new trainees every year. Applicants first take an aptitude test, and we get to know each other during the interview. By the way, the chances of being hired and securing a job after your training are very good!

Apprenticeship programs:

Required qualification: Technical college entrance qualification or higher

Duration of training: 3 1/2 years

Location: Herten

During your training as a mechatronics technician (m/f/d), you will learn, among other things, how to assemble and install complex systems and equipment consisting of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components. These include, for example, flares, combined heat and power plants, and mine gas systems.

What to expect:

  • As a mechatronics technician (m/f/d) at LAMBDA, you will work on the assembly and maintenance of our complex machines, plants, and systems.
  • In our workshop, you’ll learn, for example, how to assemble and install these systems using mechanical, electrical, and electronic components.
  • During your training, you will actively participate in “real” day-to-day operations.
  • You will learn how to program our systems and set them up according to the relevant circuit diagrams and design drawings.
  • Over time, you will acquire more and more theoretical and practical expertise to ensure you are well-prepared for your professional future.

What you should bring to the table:

  • Technical college entrance qualification or higher school diploma
  • Interest in technology and environmental topics
  • Enjoyment of learning new things and reliability

Requirements: Technical secondary school diploma or higher

Duration of training: 3 years

Location: Herten

As specialists in climate protection and renewable energy, we make a real difference every day. To ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes, we need true organizational talents like you! In our administrative departments, we make sure everything runs smoothly in the background—from finance and human resources to purchasing and sales. Sound exciting? It is!

Here’s what you can expect:

During your training, you’ll work in all administrative departments. Among other things, you’ll learn:

  • how to communicate with customers (m/f/d) and build strong relationships,
  • how orders—from office chairs to machine technology—are processed,
  • how invoices are created, reviewed, and paid,
  • and how the process works for job applications, hiring, and employee development. You’ll be right in the thick of real-world work, not just observing—and you’ll also pitch in on exciting projects.

And what exactly is the difference from an Office Management Clerk (m/f/d)?
It’s simple: As an Industrial Clerk (m/f/d), your focus is more on business management contexts.
For an Office Management Clerk, the focus is more on organization and office processes. Both are important—but with a different emphasis

Here’s what you should bring to the table:

  • You have completed secondary school (or hold a higher qualification) and want to dive into the world of business processes.
  • You enjoy working with computers and are interested in business topics.
  • You enjoy organizing, keeping track of things, and communicating confidently, whether by phone or email.
  • Reliability, punctuality, friendliness, and a sense of responsibility come naturally to you.

Interested?

So, what do you think: Would you like to start your career after school in a role that combines responsibility, opportunities, and purpose?

The combination of theoretical knowledge, structured assignments across all commercial departments, and the opportunity to actively participate in day-to-day business makes this training program truly special. During each of my rotations in the various departments, I was warmly welcomed, supported, and integrated into the team by all employees.
