Weak Gas Treatment
LAMBDA FOXX
FOXX – Flame-less Oxidation
LAMBDA’s FOXX systems ensure reliable and autothermal treatment of landfill gases with a methane content of approximately 3% by volume or higher. These systems are classified as state-of-the-art in accordance with VDI 3899 Part 1 and thus fully meet the requirements for the thermal treatment of landfill gas. The flameless oxidation technology enables efficient and safe combustion of low-calorific landfill gases, thereby minimizing emissions and maximizing operational safety.
LAMBDA FOXX low-gas treatment systems are characterized by the following features:
- All-rounder: Energy-efficient treatment of landfill gas, regardless of methane content.
- Operational experience: FOXX systems from LAMBDA rely on proven recuperative burners.
- Operating costs: Optimized system design for low energy consumption across the entire control range.
- Upgradeable/Future-proof: A simple burner replacement allows for an expansion of the operating range as methane production in the landfill body declines.
FOXX landfill gas combustion systems are available in standardized capacity classes ranging from 100 kW to 500 kW. FOXX systems are particularly well-suited for situations where there is uncertainty regarding the expected supply of landfill gas or where moderate over-suction is planned.
Unlike many other treatment technologies, FOXX systems can be operated with minimal operational effort. Furthermore, the use of proven and standardized recuperative burners allows for a smooth conversion to other burner types during the operational period as methane production declines.
With the optional “Therm” heat recovery module, highly efficient utilization of the generated waste heat is possible when a heat sink is available.
